Emailed BAEC to match my Delta Plat to either silver or gold, got the following response:
Thank you for writing to the Club about your current tier status with Delta and your wish to upgrade your Executive Club account to the same level.
I am sorry to disappoint you, however it's not our policy to match the status of another frequent flyer programme.
Tier status, as you know, is our way of recognising and rewarding our most loyal and frequent travellers. To upgrade certain Club members to higher tiers which other members have worked hard to achieve would be unfair and undervalue their continued support.
Considering this and everything you mentioned, at this time I'm sorry to say we're unable to approve your request.
