Contacted the LATAM US twitter account via direct message. They asked for contact details and then sent me an email requesting my LATAM Pass membership number, my current Qantas card, a membership statement from Qantas and proof of a LATAM flight in the past 12 months.
I didn't have a LATAM flight in the prior 12 months, however, did have Qantas flights to and from South America.
In any case, my request was denied and I was told that it could not be properly assessed until I had taken a LATAM flight. The entire process (twitter contact, twitter response, email requesting information from LATAM and rejection email) occurred within 36 hours, which was incredibly quick.
