Air New Zealand Airpoints Report: Deny

From Iberia Plus Gold
To Air New Zealand Airpoints Gold

Send an email, got denied several hours later.

Thank you for your interest in the Air New Zealand frequent flyer program.

When considering a Status match to your current frequent flyer membership several factors are considered. Some of these are; would this in fact be of best use to you, would you be able to maintain this membership and of course how much travel is expected to be on Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights.

On this occasion we are declining your request for your Air New Zealand membership to be status matched to your Iberia Sapphire status.

If however you are still looking for a new frequent flyer program, as you currently reside in Europe, a European based Airline’s frequent Flyer program would potentially be of more advantage for you.

I would suggest approaching one of the European based Star Alliance carriers with your request; more information can be found here on our Star Alliance Airline partners.

If you are able to Status Match with a European Star Alliance partner the benefits when travelling on Air New Zealand or Star Alliance ticketed and operated flights are:

• Access to the Air New Zealand Koru lounges (plus one guest)
• Premium Check in
• One additional piece of check in baggage (max 23 kgs) on applicable fares
• Priority Boarding and baggage handling

We thank you for sending a Status Match request. We realise that this is not the outcome that you would prefer and apologise that we are unable to assist on this occasion.

Kind regards
