Each request is assessed on a case by case basis and if there were extenuating circumstances such as; you were to have a significant amount of travel on Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights a status match may still be considered (though not guaranteed) If you could please email respremiumteam@airnz.co.nz with: • A copy of your current frequent flyer card and your most recent statement, showing flight activity for at least the past 6 months. • Your existing future Air New Zealand ticketed and operated booking references • Your specific expected Air New Zealand ticketed and operated future flight plans • Your Air New Zealand Airpoints number One of the main factors considered, when looking at a Status Match request, is how much travel is going to be on Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights. We would need to be able to see that you would be able to earn and maintain the higher status on your own travel. To give you an idea of what we would be looking for – to earn Gold Status you need to accrue a total of 900 eligible Status points within a 365 day period.
