I am an existing Platinum member with Marriott. I decided to attempt to try Hilton and followed through with this offer. My request was condescendingly denied. Last year when I attempted a status match I needed to book 8 rooms for 2 weeks. They couldn't get it together fast enough and I booked the room the day before this status trial was started. I haven't used them since. My girlfriend really likes their properties and I went back to try again for her. Unfortunately this is the kind of customer service I have come to expect from Hilton. A few years ago I was severely burnt in one of their hot tubs. I foolishly thought I would give them another try. Fool me once, shame on them. Fool me twice, shame on me.
