While we do not have a status matching program, I am happy to invite you to participate in our Elite Status Challenge promotion. Upon review of your Starwood Preferred Guest account, I do see that you are eligible for registration in the Challenge as you have never completed a Status Challenge, and have not been SPG Gold or Platinum within the last five years.

In order to participate in the Elite Status Challenge, you must agree to promotional emails in order to receive the Status Challenge confirmation email. Please ensure "Starwood Preferred Guest Member Promotions" is checked and saved. You will find "Starwood Preferred Guest Member Promotions" under "Communication Preferences". Once you opt in for the emails, you will be eligible for registration in the Status Challenge. If you would like to accept a Challenge and register, please reply to this e-mail to indicate which consecutive three-month earning period you would like and which Challenge you want to enroll in.

Members are allowed to register for only one Challenge at a time, either the Gold Status Challenge or the Platinum Status Challenge, please advise which one you would like.

Available earning periods for enrollment in the month of January are:

December 1, 2017 to February 28, 2018
January 1 to March 31
February 1 to April 30

Once registered, simply stay 9 eligible paid nights to obtain the Gold Challenge or stay a total of 18 eligible paid nights to obtain the Platinum Challenge within the three-month period you have selected, and your account should be upgraded to Gold or Platinum within eight days of your last required eligible night posting to your account.

Only paid nights at Starwood Branded Hotels, booked at an eligible Starpoints-earning room rate, are valid toward this promotion. American Express Gifted Nights, SPG Free Night Award and Cash & Points Award nights do not count toward this offer, nor do reservations booked through any third-party sources.
