Called and said I had just created a new YouFirst account (five minutes ago) and I had status with Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and others (which was true, but she didn't ask for proof or specifics). She said "we don't status Match" but then said she'd look at my "reservation history" to see if she could bump me to Blue. I told her that I had no reservation history, but she did the upgrade to "Blue" anyway, since I also told her that I was about to make a reservation. "Blue" provides space-available upgrades at check-in plus late checkout.
