Started in Feb through the link and got the email requesting additional documentation. Provided all information and like everyone else I got the email saying Marriott wasn't a qualified program.
Emailed back asking why they wanted the information if the hotel didnt qualify.
No response to my email.
Called customer service on 3/9 explained the process and requested assistance. At that time I was scheduled to check into a Hilton the next day for 11 days and I had 8 months of reservations following that. I was upgraded to Gold. The CS rep indicated that Marriott was a qualified program and she was going to forward my information on for review.
Hilton stay 3/10-3/16
Called on 3/18 to get a status update. The CS was less than interested in helping and was unconcerned if I cancelled 8 months of reservations.

Called on 4/8, was put on a "Diamond challenge" which required 19 nights (I think).
Called on 4/28 and was told the Diamond challenge would be valid until I checked out in June.... I explained how many times I've called and FINALLY was upgraded to Diamond.
At this point I feel like I should have stayed at Marriott!
