Match took three separate feedback discussions with customer services, each requiring roughly a week for them to respond. Match was granted with four month trial, one flight on Turkish metal to extend for a year, then 15000 to extend to two years. The original trip had gone by in the three weeks of waiting, so here's the kicker: the date you are sent an email confirming the upgrade and saying you have four months, is not necessarily the date you have been upgraded (that date is not mentioned anywhere). In my case it had been a few days before and the status coincidentally expired on the morning I was about to fly Turkish to preserve the status. Regardless of calling customer services, they did not wish to recognize the discrepancy nor were able to confirm this in the hours before the flight left, even though that meant not selling an expensive ticket. Furthermore, taking a business class trip on Turkish metal and crediting 15000+ points would, according to customer services, not extend the status since the first flight was not in the arbitrary period.
