Contacted SQ via email. Sent them my flights for the past 2 years with Virgin and its bilateral partners. Platinum with Virgin. SQ gave me Gold within 1 week. Perhaps it also helped that I had approx. 15 flights with SQ in 2 years. But I did mentioned to them that all previous status credits and points were allocated to my Virgin Velocity.
