I had experienced the same thing about a month ago. Took a visit to my nearby TK ticketing office and showed the staff with the the CS email my passport and SQ statement to them, also explained that SQ no longer provides physical card. I got their reply later the same day for a four-months of trial peroid of Elite with the challenge for extension (Matched from KrisFlyer Gold)
