Contacted via online chat and got to a human. Had to email in proof documents and had an existing business class flight booked with SQ for next month. Also stated that we would be taking reasonably frequent flights to a destination SQ services directly which makes them more attractive to me. Had a few emails back and forth and told it would take about two weeks. All very pleasant and cordial conversations. Checked emails from them and nothing since the application, but logged on to change seats for the flight and noticed that got bumped to Gold without a challenge. No comms from SIA which is a bit weird, but not arguing. PS I've moved to SQ as my primary carrier due to the (lack of) service from QF. Lost my bags and couldnt give a ****. This is what happens Qantas.
