I followed the instruction here and filled in a form online. I provided them with a photo of my passport, my activity with Alaska for the past 12 months and a digital copy of my AS card with the status shown. However I have already bought two roundtrip business class tickets on Turkish and was a Classic Plus member. I was an Elite Plus member prior to Covid. I don't know if that history and purchases have anything to do with it, but Turkish basically immediately approves my status match with an email telling me on how to maintain the status for the year, and then how to keep it for two years from the date of matching by flying 15,000 elite miles. I got the approve with 48 hours after submittimg my form online. Pretty good experience!
