Contacted Turkish Airlines via their online feedback form and asked to match my Platinum Elite Plus status to the equivalent Smiles and Miles status, as I had an international business class round-trip booked with them and wanted the status for that flight. Their response was to contact them again after the flight was completed, because I didn't have any TK flights on my account. TL;DR You MUST have a TK flight already completed on your Smiles and Miles account BEFORE you apply for the status challenge (it's NOT a status match). Only then will they consider your request (no guarantees).
