When considering a Status match to your current frequent flyer membership several factors are considered. Some of these are; would this in fact be of best use to you, would you be able to maintain this membership and of course how much travel is expected to be on Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights. If you could please email respremiumteam@airnz.co.nz with: • A copy of your frequent flyer Card & most recent statement, showing flight activity for at least 6 months • Your existing future Air New Zealand ticketed and operated booking references • Your specific expected Air New Zealand ticketed and operated future flight plans • Your Air New Zealand Airpoints number Once we have received all of the above our Loyalty team will assess your request. If you are not yet an Airpoints member you can join online free of charge through our website www.airnewzealand.co.nz and using the promo code JOINAP. You just need to enter this code in the promo box when you reach the payment page during registration. One of the main factors considered, when looking at a Status Match request, is how much travel is going to be on Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights. We would need to be able to see that you would be able to earn and maintain the higher status on your own travel. To give you an idea of what we would be looking for – to earn Gold Status you need to accrue a total of 900 eligible Status points within a 365 day period.
