Rang Bonvoy customer services and they issued the three month 16 day challenge to Platinum with no questions or arguments. However they did ask for my Bonvoy number etc first before providing and I have held Gold before a few years ago so may influence their decision if you are a new customer or not and if you have stayed with them recently.
